Here is a blanket chest built from Ontario White Pine. The wide boards used to build it were reclaimed from the ceiling in an old cottage. I built the chest using hand tools only, and its surfaces have subtle sculpted qualities.
The chest features a till on the inside, a strong panel in the lid to support a person sitting, and half blind dovetails for a clean look.
39" wide, 22" tall and 17.5" deep.
